Chippewa County Health Department Announces Vaccine Clinics

CHIPPEWA County, Michigan – With the recent FDA approval, recommendations from the CDC’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practices (ACIP) and the endorsement of the CDC director, Chippewa County Health Department (CCHD) is encouraging community members to get a booster vaccine if they received the Moderna or Johnson &
Johnson (J&J) primary COVID-19 vaccines. This includes people ages 65 and older; individuals 18 through 64 years of age at high risk of severe COVID-19 due to underlying health conditions; and those at high risk of COVID-19 due to occupational or institutional exposure.

Pfizer, Moderna and Johnson & Johnson vaccination clinics are available Wednesdays and Fridays. Online registration is available at the following links:

Additionally, a flu vaccine clinic is being held on Tuesdays. Online registration is available at: https://ph-chippewa.as.me/InfulenzaVacc2021fd.

Clinics are held at CCHD from 8:30 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. and 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. At this time, CCHD is unable to accommodate walk-ins.

If a community member has limited access to the Internet, phone registration is available by calling 906-635-3640; extended wait time for a return call should be expected. CCHD is requesting that individuals not leave repeat messages as this will slow down the return call process.
