Shelby Jean Myers of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan passed away at home on Wednesday February 23, 2022, at the age of 82.Shelby was born in Rudyard, MI on July 17, 1939, to the late Ford and Eva (Monck) Peffers. She graduated from Rudyard High School with the class of 1957. She was a member of the War Memorial Hospital Auxiliary. She worked at a bank as a teller.
She and Lee enjoyed traveling, so much so that she was able to visit and enjoy every state in the country. She also enjoyed leaving Sault Ste. Marie’s cold winters for Florida’s much warmer and more bearable winters for 25 years.
Shelby is survived by her husband of 64 years, Lee R. Myers, whom she married on November 23, 1957, in Rudyard Michigan; her children: Lee (Kim) Myers of Stevensville, Steven Myers of Sturgeon Bay, Terry (Robin) Myers of Sault Ste. Marie: 7 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren
Shelby is also survived by her siblings: Ford Peffers of Rockford, Daniel Peffers of Menominee.
Shelby is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Sally Sheppard and her brother Gerald Peffers.
A private service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorials may be left to the Salvation Army.
