Blue Devils Host Veterans

The Sault High Varsity Blue Devils hosted the Cadillac Vikings in their first conference game of the season. It was Veterans Appreciation Night, where local Veterans were recognized and thanked at the start of the game. Cloverland Electric Cooperative and the 1437th MRBC from the Michigan Army National Guard proudly displayed the American Flag, just outside of the field.

Both teams were looking for their first win of the season, but in the end Cadillac came out on top. The Vikings kept the Blue Devils from scoring until late in the fourth quarter when Evan Kennedy caught a pass in the end zone. The PAT was blocked, and the final score was Cadillac 49; Sault 6.

The Blue Devils (0-3) will travel this week to take on the Escanaba Eskymos (1-2) in another Big North Conference match up.

The Junior Varsity Blue Devils (0-3) will have their first home game of the season this Thursday at Van Citters field, as they host the Escanaba Eskymos JV team.
