It is with great sadness that the family and friends of Alan Ray Rabideau, age 53, announce his passing on May 14, 2024, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. Alan Ray Rabideau was born on March 3, 1971, in Escanaba, Michigan, to James Stephen and Arlene Ramona (Souliere) Rabideau.

Alan’s real passion was his love and dedication to his life’s work in helping and advocating for our youth. Through many jobs throughout his life, Alan touched the lives of countless people and will be greatly missed. Quite simply, the world was a better place because he was in it.

Alan enjoyed going to the casino, playing cards, dice, and other games with friends and family. He also enjoyed cooking and eating delicious food.

Alan is survived by his brother, Robert Rabideau, and his sons, Scott Norwood, and Mike Newberry; and his dog, Biidaabin.

Alan was preceded in death by his parents, James, and Arlene; and brother, James Rabideau.

Traditional Ceremony will be held on Sunday, May 19, 2024, at 6:00 PM, with visitation starting at 5:00 PM, at the Niigaanagiizhik Ceremonial Building, 11 Ice Circle, Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan 49783.
