Alisha Marie Janis, age 35, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, died on May 16, 2024, at Henry Ford Hospital in Detroit, Michigan. She was born on August 13, 1988, in Pine Ridge, South Dakota, to John Daniel and Rose Marie (Kuehling) Janis.

Alisha was a very outgoing, outspoken person. She enjoyed being around her family and friends especially her nephew Louie. She was the light in everyone's life. She was very kind, loving and bighearted. She enjoyed living life to the fullest.

Alisha enjoyed playing video games, watching Westerns, making crafts with crocheting and bead work.

Alisha is survived by her children, Adrian Janis and Kenzie Janis; mother, Rose Viergutz; siblings, Michelle Janis and Anthony Janis; niece, Vivienne Janis; and nephew, Lawrence “Louie” Janis.

Alisha was preceded in death by her father, John Daniel Janis.

A Celebration of Life will be held on May 31, 2024, from 2:00PM - 4:00PM at Family Life Funeral Homes, 4951 S. M-129, Sault Ste. Marie, MI.
