Obituary For Becky Ann (Sieting) Doepker
Becky Ann (Sieting) Doepker was born on September 3, 1947, to Keith and Dorothy (Derendinger) Sieting in Detroit, Michigan. She passed away peacefully in her sleep at her home in Moran, Michigan. on March 25, 2024.
Becky grew up in South Lyon, Michigan, and was the oldest of 5 kids and found herself caring for her siblings from an early age. She met Keith Doepker during her senior year of high school, and they married on September 24, 1966. They had two children, Kimberly and Brian.
Becky worked for nearly 25 years as a bus aide assisting children with special needs for South Lyon Schools. She always had a special place in her heart for anyone who needed help and she loved to serve others. After her retirement, she continued to work with children with special needs and their families through the Rudyard school district and a respite program at her church. She was very active in her church and served in many areas.
Becky enjoyed traveling, camping, creating fused and stained-glass projects, sewing, knitting, crafts, and hunting for beach glass and rocks. She loved spending time with friends and family and always cooked and baked things she knew they loved.
Becky and Keith retired together to the U.P. They were blessed to have over 20 years of retirement together, a great group of friends from their lake community and church, and many fun adventures. Becky and Keith enjoyed 57 years together before he preceded her in death, suddenly on January 16, 2024.
Throughout her life, Becky was a fierce fighter for those she loved, and in the last few years, she fought hard to beat her diagnoses to have more time with her beloved family.
While we will miss her terribly, we are relieved to know she isn't in pain or suffering anymore and that she's with her Savior, Jesus, and is reunited with her beloved husband Keith, and her son Brian.
She is survived by her daughter, Kim, grandchildren Adam (Amy), Eric, and great-granddaughter Kate.
Becky was preceded in death by her husband, Keith; and her parents.
A Memorial Service for Becky will be held on April 6, 2024, at the Glen Memorial Baptist Church in St. Ignace, Michigan, at 11:00 AM with pastor Dave Davis officiating.
