Carol May (Sangret) Christiansen, age 88, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, passed away at the Hospice of the EUP on December 19, 2023.

Carol was born on May 19, 1935, in Roseville, Michigan, to Clifford and Minnie (Schramm) Sangret. She married Hans C. Christiansen, on February 26, 1955 in Roseville, Michigan.

Carol enjoyed reading, antique collecting, sewing, and especially spending time with her family.

Carol is survived by her children, Carl (Vickie) Christiansen, Diane Christiansen, Ken (Tammy) Christiansen, Kathy Christiansen, Karen (Phil) Lagerman and Hans (Sheryl) Christiansen; grandchildren, Ben (Jamie) Christiansen, Carl (Kristen) Christiansen, Nick (Michelle) Christiansen, Adam (Leah) Bogacki, Jason(Bree) Christiansen, Kyle Christiansen, Michael (Laurie) Christiansen, Theresa Dowker, Krystal (Leisly) Harmon, Sidney Vanalstine, and Aaron (Alivia) Christiansen; great grandchildren, Brooke, Travis, Nora Grace Christiansen, Calder and Claire Christiansen, Quintin, Olivia, Luca Christiansen, Samantha Harmon, Andrew Rice, Emma, Gerard, Ellie Bogacki, Brentlee and Easton Christiansen, and Evelyn Christiansen; and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Minnie; husband, Hans.

There will be no services at this time per Carol’s wishes.
