Obituaries

Charles L. Alexander Jr., age 78, of Brimley, Michigan, passed away on August 31, 2024, at the
Ball Hospice House in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. He was born on April 29, 1946, to Charles L. Sr. and Evaline Mae (Toll) Alexander.

Charles graduated from Sault High School then enlisted in the United States Army from which he was a proud veteran along with his years of service in local 1437th National Guard. Charlie was an employee of the City of Sault Ste. Marie until he retired in 2004.

Charles enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodwork in his spare time. He was also a member of the First Congregational Church in Brimley.

Charles is survived by his “babe”, Kathleen, whom he married in 1992 and their beloved dog Sadie; children, Lee Anne Strange, Charles A., and Susan and Nicole Alexander; twelve grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren.

Charles was preceded in death by his parents; infant sister, Esther; sister, Hazel (Orville) Nutkins; and brothers-in -law, Pete Brown, Cecil Ojala and Odin Eitrem.

Per Charles’ request no Funeral Service will be held, but a private military Graveside Service will be held at a later date. Final resting place will be at Oaklawn Chapel Gardens, in Bruce Township, Michigan.
