Obituary For Dianne Lyn Wychopen
Dianne Lyn Wychopen, age 68, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, passed on at My Michigan in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan on November 6, 2023. She was born on June 9, 1955, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan to Wilma Jacqueline Romano.
Dianne grew up in Sault Ste. Marie and graduated from Sault High School. She met Bill at a social gathering, and they married on August 9, 1975. She was a loving stay at home mom raising her children and when they were older she joined the workforce at Hardee’s and then Burger King as a cashier for 19 years. Dianne changed careers in 2000 and began working for Parker Hardware as a retail salesclerk for twenty-fours years. She semi-retired last year but loved her job and continued to work when she could.
Dianne loved playing bingo. She also enjoyed going down to the waters edge to watch freighters with Bill, her husband of 49 years and she loved being with her family. She was a caring, social butterfly who loved talking to people and genuinely wanted to know how they were doing.
Dianne is survived by her husband, Billy Wychopen; sons, Billy (Erin) Wychopen of Sault Ste. Marie, Brandon (Dorothy) Wychopen of Brimley, and daughter-in-law; Raeliegh Wychopen of Grayling, Michigan; grandchildren,Matias Wychopen, Melina Wychopen, Brandon Wychopen, Mason Wychopen, Kayla Wychopen, Eryka Wychopen, Destiny Wychopen; siblings; Wayne (Darlene) Romano of Sault Ste. Marie, and Diane Hultz of Sault Ste. Marie; Brothers-in-law; Danny Wychopen, and Brian Wychopen of Sault Ste.Marie, Ontario.
Dianne was preceded in death by her mother Wilma Romano; son, Wayne Wychopen; and grandson, Nikko Wychopen.
Visitations will be Tuesday, November 21st at the E Free Church 1901 John St. Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783. 10:00 AM – 12:00 PM with memorial at 12:00 PM. And a luncheon following afterwards in the basement of the. Church.
In lieu of flowers. It was Dianne's wish that any memorial tributes be made in the form of charitable donations to the Chippewa County Animal Shelter or Hospice of E U P.
