Ellen Georgena Libby, age 89, of Pickford, Michigan, died on September 13, 2024, at her home. She was born on July 12, 1935, in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, to Arthur and Maloza (Castagne) Libby.

Ellen grew up in Kelden, Michigan, and lived there until she was out of school. She then moved to Roseville, Michigan, where she worked for Chrysler on their assembly line for fifteen years. After retirement, she returned to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan where she settled in Pickford.

Ellen was a member of the Holy Family Catholic Church in Barbeau, Michigan.

Ellen loved playing cards such as solitaire and having poker nights with the girls. She was a very generous, giving person and was loved by all and known as Auntie Menun.

Ellen is survived by brothers, Henry Libby and Victor (Gisele) Libby; as well as many nieces and nephews who will all miss her dearly.

Ellen was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Maloza; siblings, Wilfred (LouElla) Libby, Clarence (Georgina) Libby, Alice (Victor) Fortin, Francis Libby, Eugene (Jeannie) Libby.

Per Ellen’s wishes, no services will be held at this time.
