Obituary For Gregory Scott Pringle
Gregory “Greg” Scott Pringle, age 59, of Sault. Ste. Marie, Michigan, died at the Ball Hospice House of the EUP in Sault Ste. Marie, on May 11, 2023. He was born in Sault Ste. Marie on May 14, 1963, to James Robert and Carole Margaret Lund-Pringle.
Greg grew up in Sault Ste. Marie and graduated from Sault Area High School. After graduating, he found his passion in construction where he worked as a carpenter and a foreman.
Although Greg suffered his whole adult life with mental illness, he was incredibly smart and talented. He was passionate about his trucks and would spend hours in the backyard playing music and detailing his truck. After Greg purchased his grandmother Kate's home, remodeling it, became a hobby for him. He worked hard on his home and his cat Theodore, ruled the house!
Greg enjoyed snowmobiling and attending the I-500 snowmobile race over the years. He will be remembered for his love of music and all the heart he shared with his friends and family. He truly loved each of them and if you knew him, you knew it. When his time came, he carried himself with dignity and strength.
Greg is survived by his brother, Captain James Pringle of Neebish Island, Michigan; his loving sister, Janice Robinson of Waukee, Iowa; nieces and nephew, Halie (Adam) Robinson Bugbee of Adel, Iowa, Captain Benjamin Robinson of Steamboat Springs, Colorado, Kelsie (Mitch) McGahey-Horras of Steamboat Springs, Kalin (John) McGahey of Steamboat Springs; great-nieces, Eleanor Mae Bugbee and Evelyn Marie Bugbee of Adel; cousin: Carolyn Pringle of Sterling Heights, Michigan; and his beloved cat, Theodore.
He was preceded in death by his parents, James Robert and Carole Margaret Lund-Pringle; grandmother, Kathleen “Kate” (Butsch) Mattson-Simpkins; grandparents, Captain Walter Pringle and Margaret Butsch-Pringle and Lester Gripentrog and Margaret Lund-Gripentrog.
A special thanks to Gil Cymbalist, The Salvation Army, and all of Greg’s dear friends that loved and supported him regardless of his illness, you truly meant so much to him.
A celebration of life will be at a future date with the scattering of his cremated cremains at his late family’s home on the St. Mary's River in Sault Ste. Marie.
