John Leo Germain, 69, of Sault Ste. Marie, MI, passed away Saturday, June 24, 2023, in Cheboygan, MI. He was born August 16, 1953, in Sault Ste. Marie, MI, to Leo and Elanor (Mongene) Germain.
John enjoyed camping, fishing, and going for rides.

John is survived by his son, Brandon LaPonsie of Carson City, MI; siblings, Robert (Peggy) McKechnie of Sault Ste. Marie, MI, Gilbert (Dottie) Bonno of Roseville, MI, Patti (Gary) Bosley of Sault Ste. Marie, MI, Suzy (Terry) Niemi of Cottage Park, MI, Sharon Oliver of Kincheloe, MI, Bernard "Bunz" Germain of Sault Ste. Marie, MI, Linda Germain of Kincheloe, MI, Janet Germain of Kinross, MI, and Sandy (Dwayne) Graham of Sault Ste. Marie, MI.

John is predeceased by his parents; siblings, Richard Germain, Jackie Germain, Edward Germain, Ronald Germain, Kenneth Mongene, and Larry McKechnie.

A Celebration of Life for John is scheduled for Wednesday, July 5, 2023, from 1:00pm until 4:00pm at the Sault Tribe Cultural Center, 11 Ice Circle Chi Mukwa Sault Ste. Marie, MI 49783.
