Obituaries

Kelly Sue (Young) Locey, age 46, passed away at home surrounded by family on October 16, 2023. She was born on February 27, 1977, to Ronald Stuart and Susan Emily (Walters) Young in Bay City, Michigan.

Kelly attended Bruce Township Elementary, Soo Jr. Highschool and Sault Area Highschool. She received her GED in Pennsylvania and became a Certified Nursing Assistant in Pennsylvania. She was a volunteer bartender at the Orioles Club in Kincheloe and was loved by all her patrons. As a child she was a member of the Hiawatha Skating Club.

She was a member of the Fraternal Order of the Orioles Club. She loved wolves, being outdoors and spending time with her family and friends.

Kelly is survived by her husband, Jordan Locey, who she married on July 2, 2022, at Kinross Lake in Kinross, Michigan; children; Shawn (Kenzie) Young of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, Christa Downs of Petosky, Michigan, Cody D’Arconte of Pennyann, New York, Casandra D’arconte of Batavia, New York; grandchildren; Sunny Young, Evalyn Young, Leiha Mcquade, John Mcquade, Brinley D’Arconte, Brentley D’Arconte; nieces and nephews, Ashley (Justin) Bertram, AJ Jones, Samantha Young, Cody Cole; Great nieces; Laila and Kenna Bertram; siblings; Noel Krogh of Kincheloe, Michigan, Stuart Young of Barbeau, Michigan.

Kelly is preceded in death by her grandparents, Ray and Janet Walters; her father, Ron; and her beloved dog, Moochie.

There will be a celebration of life on October 28, 2023, at 16461 S. Fair Road, Kinross, Michigan 49783, beginning at 2:00 PM.
