Mabel “Susie” (Freeborn) Verrett, 75, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family, on November 28th, 2023. She was born in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan on December 24th, 1947. To know Susie is to love her dearly. She will be missed by every heart

she touched. She was the daughter of Wonieta and Glenn Freeborn.

Susie worked for the City of Sault Ste. Marie since her high school years, retiring in 2012. She also sold Avon for 40+ years.

Susie is survived by her husband, Pete, of 56 years; daughters, Tracie (Tom) Osborn, Kristen

Verrett (Kyle Kiel), and Sheri (Derek) Theobald; grandchildren, Keegan (Brenna) Miller,

Aaliyah Miller, Tad, Coy, & Kallie Theobald, and Kylanna & Keegan Kiel; siblings, Glenn Freeborn, Judy Hiligoss, and James Freeborn, along with many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held at the C.C. Hall on Saturday, December 2nd, from 1:00-4:00.
