Margaret “Peggy” Louise (Bergamasco) Morse, age 75, of Mackinaw City, Michigan, passed away surrounded by loved ones at her home on July 14, 2024. She was born on June 24, 1949, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, to Joseph James and Margaret Louise (McCutcheon) Bergamasco.

Peggy was born and raised in Pittsburgh. She met the love of her life, Michael David Morse, in 1988, in Marietta, Ohio, and they married on March 2, 1989. They moved to Mackinaw City where they spent thirty-five years together. They enjoyed a rich life with fellow church members at St. Anthony’s Catholic Church in Mackinaw City, where Peggy was quite active as a volunteer. Sadly, in 2010, Peggy suffered a serious stroke which made it difficult to participate in her usual activities. Despite her obstacles, Peggy’s faith remained strong for the remainder of her life.

Peggy loved her active life and enjoyed traveling and boating, but most importantly, her church life. She also enjoyed being a military wife.

Peggy is survived by her husband, Michael; children, Jamie Ferland of Hershey, Pennsylvania, Kelly Heckert, Andrew Morse of Rock Ledge, Florida, Holly Morse of Sarasota, Florida, and John Morse of Mackinaw City, Michigan; many beloved grandchildren and great grandchildren; brothers, Paul Bergamasco of Butler, Pennsylvania, and Joseph Bergamasco of Pittsburgh; and sister, Leslie Bergamasco of Pittsburgh.

Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph, and Margaret; and sister, Judy Bergamasco.
