Robert Theodore Cook, age 61, of St. Ignace, Michigan, died on Friday, February 21, 2025. He was born on February 25, 1963, in San Padro, California, to Richard and Audrey (Senogles) Cook.

Robert grew up in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, and attended Sault Area High School. He was a jack of all trades and worked many jobs throughout the years. He and Laura McCarney met through their children and were married on March 15, 1999, in St. Ignace. He received his carpentry license and started his business, Accent Builders, which he owned and operated until he had to retire in 2020 due to illness.

Robert enjoyed being in the garage working on cars, talking on the phone and playing his guitar. But above all, he loved to spend time with his grandchildren.

Robert is survived by his wife, Laura; sons, Ryan Manitowabi, Robin (Alisha) Cook and Dustin Lee, Scott (Maria) Bruce and Justin Bruce, Daniel (Kelsey) Bruce and Tyler Cook; daughters, Lexi Lee, Chantelle (Rich) Cook, Shea Cook, Becky (Forrest) Cook, Kayla (Dylan) Bruce; many grandchildren; sisters, Judy (Jerry) Olmstead, Marilynn Cook, and Suzie Kinns; brothers, Richard (Becky) Cook Jr., James (Esther) Cook; brother-in-law, William (Amy) McCarney; and many nieces and nephews.

Robert was preceded in death by his parents, Richard and Audrey.

A Celebration of Life will be held in the summer of 2025.
