Ronald James Green, age 77, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, died on April 1, 2025, at the Ball Hospice House. He was born on February 10, 1948, in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

Ronald grew up in Sault Ste. Marie and graduated from Sault High School with the Class of 1966. He was well known for his years with Soo Housing and Jean and Top Shop.

Ronald was a member of the St. Mary’s Catholic Church as well as the Christopher Columbus Hall, where he enjoyed volunteering. He also played many years for the Soo Indians hockey team.

Ronald is survived by his wife, Raela Christie Green; children, Derek Green of Jackson, Michigan, Lisa (Kip) Gamelin of Sault Ste. Marie, Paul (Cara) Christie of Sault Ste. Marie; grandchildren, Trenton (Lindsy) Gamelin, Derek AJ Green, Marcus Green, Jaycie Gamelin, and Jacob Christie; great-grandchildren, Gayleena Green, Elias Gamelin, Zeppelin Gamelin; cousin, Bob Fabricino; and best friend, Denny Barkley.

Ronald was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Green; and daughter, Shannon Green.

A Celebration of Life to be announced at a later date..

Ronald’s final resting place will be at Riverside Cemetery in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan.
