Obituaries

Ronald Joseph Peterka, age 87, of Moran, Michigan, died at the Pennington Home in Pickford,
Michigan, on August 18, 2024. He was born on February 10, 1957, in Chicago, Illinois, to
Joseph and Mildred (Sembera) Peterka.

Ronald grew up in Chicago and Cook, Minnesota. After graduating High School, he joined the
United States Air Force. While on “leave” from the military he married his childhood friend
since birth, Arlene Pokorny.

Ronald was a Master Mason, a Shriner, and a volunteer firefighter. He loved woodworking and
also working on anything “electronically”.
Ronald is survived by his wife, Arlene; children, Christina (Shanon) Herron, Kenny (Danell)
Peterka, David (Pam) Peterka, Donald (Betty) Peterka; four grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; sisters, Diane Cin and Margie Hyppa.

Ronald was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph and Mildred.

A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, Memorial Contributions can be made in Ronald’s name to the Pennington
Home, 665 S. Pleasant St. Pickford, MI 49774.
