Sandra “Sandy” Lee Wiltse, age 65, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, died October 15, 2023, at the Medilodge in Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan. She was born August 29, 1958, in Kalamazoo, Michigan, to the late John V. and Martha P. (Moorshead) Wiltse.

Sandy resided in Sault Ste. Marie her entire life. She was a 1977 graduate of Sault Area High School and a 1981 graduate of Kendall College of Art and Design.

Horses and dogs were the love of her life. She showed horses her entire life, first as a youth in 4H shows and later through the Eastern Upper Peninsula Horseman’s Association and Chippewa County Fair. She taught private riding lessons for decades. She was an avid quilter, sharing many beautiful projects with friends and family. She enjoyed gardening and frequently had a large vegetable garden.

She worked many years at Soo Plastics, Key Plastics and most recently at Walmart.

Sandy is survived by her brother, John R. (Melanie) Wiltse of Rudolph, Wisconsin and several cousins, nieces, grandnieces, nephew, and grandnephews.

Sandy was preceded in death by her parents.
