Stacy Lynn (Viator) Verret, age 57, of McMillan, Michigan, died at her home on November 16, 2023. She was born on March 4, 1966, in Lake Charles, Louisiana, to Joseph and Patricia (Andrepont) Viator.

Stacy grew up in Louisiana and was a 1984 graduate of A.M. Barbe High School in Lake Charles. After graduation, she moved to Austin, Texas where she attended cosmetology and beauty school. She was a licensed beautician and worked most of her adult life as a hairdresser. After Hurricane Laura devastated SWLA in 2020, Stacy moved to Michigan where her close friend Shelley lives.

Stacy had a passion for cooking. She was a wonderful cook who truly enjoyed cooking for family and friends. Cooking during the holidays was one of her greatest pleasures. She is also best known for her entertaining, fun-loving personality. She was always the life of the party, and her laugh will be missed by all who knew her.

Stacy is survived by her sister, Jenell Bonsall of Sulphur, LA; husband Richard Verret of Lake Charles, LA; stepdaughter Brittainy Hicks of Lake Charles, Brittainy’s daughters; in-laws, Larry and Jean Verret of Lake Charles; and her best friend of over 40 years, Shelley Schexnider. She is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins and a large circle of friends who loved her dearly.

Stacy was preceded in death by her parents, Joseph and Patricia Viator, and sister Terri Viator.

The final resting place will be Mimosa Pines South Cemetery in Sulphur, LA.
