Susan Louise (Gosling) Horrom, age 85, died on August 19, 2024, at the White-Wiles Home in Rudyard, Michigan. She was born on October 8, 1938, in Kalkaska, Michigan, to Harry and Phyllis (Hendricks) Gosling.

Susan grew up in Kalkaska and graduated from Kalkaska High School. She met Kenneth Dale “K. Dale” Horrom in 1955 through her brothers, while he was visiting Kalkaska that summer. They married on September 8, 1957, at the People’s Church in Kalkaska. Shortly after they married, they moved to Kirksville, Missouri, where both Susan and K. Dale attended college and started their family. After graduation, they settled in Rudyard and continued to grow their family and adopted four children from Korea.

Susan enjoyed painting, quilting, bird watching and tending to her flowers. She also loved to travel and visited Guam, Africa, England, and most of the states.

Susan is survived by her children, Heidi (Steve) Hoolsema, Ken (Liz) Horrom, Pete Horrom, Katy (Mark) Hoolsema, Anna (Sunyeol Chu “Steve”) Horrom, Todd (Kori) Horrom, and Tom (Melanie) Horrom; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; brothers, Art (Betty) Gosling, Bert (Judy) Gosling, and Fred (Kathy) Gosling; and sisters-in-law, Nancy Gosling, and Barbie Gosling.

Susan was preceded in death by her husband, K. Dale; parents, Harry and Phyllis; and brothers, Phil Gosling and Chuck (Marty) Gosling.

Final Resting Place will be at the North Rudyard Cemetery in Rudyard, Michigan.
