Obituaries

Suzanne Nina Hart, age 76, of Rexton, Michigan, died at McLaren Northern Michigan Hospital
in Petoskey, Michigan, on August 15, 2024. She was born on May 12, 1948, in Detroit,
Michigan, to Murray Oliver and Mary Jane (Sneed) Hart.

Suzanne grew up in Lincoln Park, Michigan, and graduated from high school in 1967. After
graduating, she started working at the Detroit News before working as a secretary for an
insurance company. In 2006, she retired and moved to the Upper Peninsula after working at the
Tahquamenon Area Credit Union.

Suzanne was a member of the Northern Quilters Club and the Women’s Club in Hudson Township, Michigan.

Suzanne was a quiet, loving person and enjoyed playing games on her computer and with her
nieces and nephews. She also enjoyed sewing and quilting.

Suzanne is survived by her sister, Marilyn Darlene May of Pellston, Michigan; brothers, Dwight
(Connie) Hart of Rexton, Michigan, and Murray “Mick” M. (Colleen) Hart of Brownstown,
Michigan; nieces and nephews, Patricia and Pamela, Michelle, Nina, Ike, Sung-Yung, Michael,
Jamie, and Kurt; and many beloved great nieces and nephews.

Suzanne was preceded in death by her parents, Murray and Mary; and great nephew, Dayne.

A Visitation will be held August 23, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM, at the Family Life Funeral
Homes, 999 S. State St., St. Ignace, Michigan 49781, with a service following at 6:00 PM. A
Graveside Burial will be held on August 24, 2024, at 9:30 AM, at the Maplewood Cemetery,
8306 Hiawatha Trail, Naubinway, Michigan 49762.
Final Resting Place will be at Maplewood Cemetery in Naubinway, Michigan.
