Vickie Jo (Miller) Gabourie, age 58, of Sault Ste. Marie, Michigan, died on January 23, 2024, at
McLaren Northern Michigan in Petoskey, Michigan. She was born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin on
December 3, 1965, to parents Robert and Judith (Downs) Miller.

Vickie grew up in Sault Ste. Marie and graduated from Sault High School. She met the love of
her life, Joel Dean Gabourie by pure fate in Traverse City, Michigan. They married on January
21, 1987. They settled in Sault Ste. Marie, and she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistance at
Sunset Manor and Tendercare for many years. She was also a daycare provider for many years to
many local families.

Vickie was a woman with a heart of gold and a caregiver by nature. She was wonderful with
children. She treated children with kindness, respect and like adults. There was always a group of kids hanging around the house and many kids in the neighborhood still call her mom today.
Vickie loved animals and animals loved her back. Vickie will be greatly missed by all who loved
her.

Vickie is survived by her husband, Joel; siblings; and several nieces & nephews.

Vickie is preceded in death by her parents.

A Memorial Service will be planned for a later date.
